In 1957, Morgan bought the Wetumka Gazette and renamed it the Hughes County Times. Morgan also worked as publisher of the Calvin Chronicle and the Oklahoma Peanut for several years.

Morgan also wrote a weekly column, "In Our Times." Morgan is survived by his wife, Jane; daughter, Julie Morgan, of Wetumka; and son and daughter-in-law Andy and Chris Morgan, of Oklahoma City. A funeral service is FROM STAFF REPORTS Bill Morgan, a longtime Oklahoma newspaper owner and publisher, died Thursday. He was 81. Morgan was the owner and publisher of the Hughes County Times in Wetumka and the Weleet-kan in Weleetka. Morgan served in the U.S.

Army during the Korean War as a regional editor for the Pacific Stars and Stripes newspaper in Tokyo. Sapulpa man, storm chaser die in crash Rice Kettler was born in Ho-bart, OK to James Leonard and Ruby Pearl Rice on December 25, 1926. She graduated from Merritt High School near Elk City, OK. Mary Emma received a bachelor's degree in Business Education from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree from Oklahoma University. Mary Emma began her first teaching job in Kansas. Over the years, she taught school at Jenks, Corn, Anadarko, Elk City and Moore.

She retired from Moore Public Schools in 1969. Mary was a member of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Tuttle chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, now combined with the Minco chapter, where Mary Emma was a perpetual member. Mary Emma was a member of the American Legion Post 176 Auxiliary, Tuttle, OK. Mary Emma was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tuttle, OK.

Mary Emma enjoyed walking five miles every day. She had an amazing zest for life, travel and learning. She visited Asia, the Middle East, South America, Europe and many other countries as well as traveling to nearly every state capital building in the United States. She enjoyed spending time and traveling with Charles, her beloved husband of the past 43 years. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Emma is survived by her husband, Charles W. Kettler, of the home; her son, James Nelson Blalock, and daughter-in-law, Janeene, grandson, Brent Blalock, and granddaughter, Sarah Blalock, of Mustang, OK; stepson, Vance Kettler, and daughter-in-law, Leonie, granddaughter, Vanessa Kettler, and great-grandchildren, Baylee, Aleeyah and Carson, of Tuttle, OK; grandson, Jeremy Lim and wife, Serene; grandson, Kenneth Skelchy-Lim, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; stepdaughter, Karen Kettler-Thrift, of Tuttle, OK; grandson, Leigh Szabo, granddaughter, Jessica Szabo, and three great-grandsons, Lo-ken, Dylan and Devin, of Tuttle, OK. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle, OK. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Tuttle at P.O. Box 190, Tuttle, OK 73089.

Luverne, Minn. Edgar Wayne Williams, 37, of Oologah, was driving a pickup that then collided with Gabrielson's vehicle. A vehicle driven by Annette Hayt, 50, of Ed-mond, then crashed into Gilcrease's vehicle, troopers said. Williams was treated and released at a Sapulpa hospital. Hayt was taken to a Tulsa hospital where she was admitted and is listed in stable condition, the patrol said.

Both Gabrielson and Gilcrease died at the scene because of massive injuries. Seat belts were in use in all four vehicles. Troopers said Gilcrease was driving the wrong direction on the divided highway when the crash occurred. Gabrielson, a frequent contributor to The Weather Channel, also was one of several storm chasers on the show "Tornado Hunt," which features meteorologist Mike Bettes. He was heading home after chasing storms in Texas for two days, The Weather Channel reported.

FROM STAFF REPORTS SAPULPA A fatal crash that claimed the life of a national TV storm chaser Saturday also killed a Sapulpa man, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
